Malaysia, Here I Come!

Travel is one of my fondest love interest and the most recent travel I had was the trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I was there together with my husband to attend the CCMN Global Summit. Kuala Lumpur has been ringing in my ears so many times in the past and  ola! the opportunity came. I would like to express my  special thanks to my brother and sister in- laws, Nong Nene and  Nang Bebs Rubrico who took time to pay us a visit to the famous Menara Kuala Lumpur Tower and the Petronas Twin Towers. It was early evening when we went there and you could just imagine the grandeur of the tall towers standing gigantically right before your very nose with all the magnificent lightings coming out from all the building floors.

Did you know that the Menara Kuala Lumpur is the fifth tallest telecommunications tower in the world and the tallest in Southeast Asia standing at 421 meters? Not only that. According to their information bureau, the tower shaft alone comprises 22 levels with 4 elevators and flights of stairs with a total of 2,058 steps. Whew! We would be catching our breaths if we take the stairs that's why my husband and I never dared to take the risk.

The top of the tower holds the public observation platform which is 276 meters wherein you can also find  the revolving restaurant, as well as the telecommunication and broadcasting stations. The tower base  houses 3 basement floors for safety purposes, storage and maintenance work. Amidst all these informative facts, there is one place they call the  " ICONIC STRUCTURE ". This part of the tower  hosts the administration office, the souvenir shops and the 146 meters pedestrian mall with cascading pools. Isn't that amazing? Looking way up, it seems you're only 10 cents ride to heaven but when you look downwards, your stomach seems to have lots of butterfies inside. What an unforgettable experience. Wanna have a try?

Samsung takes flight.

Samsung's newest release, the Samsung Galaxy S3 has overtaken Apple's Iphone 4s and the newest Iphone5. It has clearly shown its dominance in the world of smartphones, the S3 has been named as the world's top smartphone. It may be one of the biggest existing smartphones and makes it harder to carry but thanks to its size it can perform and display better than its sibling the Samsung Galaxy S2, the S3 surpasses its sibling in terms of its specs and many more. Being name as the world's top smartphone what will samsung do next to retain its title? Or should the real question be, how long will it remain as the top smartphone? We never know, it is a close call between samsung and apple. Your choice.. Apple or Android?

The Future Of United States

The Voting time for United States is closing in. The Fate of the United States Of America now rests in the hands of At least 120 million people expected to render judgment on whether to give President Obama a second term or replace him with Republican challenger Romney. Statistics have shown that Obama has a slow but steady lead against Republican challenger Romney, but Obama cannot underestimate this new challenger, Romney has a very unique background. This new challenger is more than meets the eye. His business experience made him uniquely qualified to create jobs and lead an economic recovery. Which I believe that mostly if not all of the population of United States would look forward to. Reduce the Unemployment rate of United States and awaken once again one of the Economic giants. So, if you could vote for the future of the United States of America, who would, you choose? Obama or Romney?

Happy Halloween?

Trick or Treat?

Barney, Dracula, a Red guy with horns and a tail with a very large fork and The Teletubbies are hurrying to every Cham's Convenience Store within the City. Bringing with them their parents who seem to be more excited than the kids themselves, these costumed kids are in a rush to join the trick or treat activity sponsored by some of the establishments of our fair city. They run from one place to another, one convenience store to the next receiving candy, chocolates and other treats from the store and stall managers. Smiles and laughter can be heard every time these kids yell out "Trick or Treat!". Sadly, many of us now enjoy this "Festivity" and even count it as one of the most enjoyable events of the year. Halloween or All Hallows Eve, as it was once known, is not exactly as fun and enjoyable in it's truest sense.. We dress our kids up (even we ourselves dress up) in costumes and have them enjoy it without them knowing the horrors of what we are "celebrating". Let me bring you back to the history of Halloween... Its original name is called "Samhain" the festival of the Celts' (presently Ireland, UK and Northern France) New Year - November 1.

On the night of October 31 they celebrated "Samhain", when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. In addition to causing trouble and damaging crops, Celts thought that the presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for the Druids, or Celtic priests, to make predictions about the future. To commemorate the event, Druids built huge sacred bonfires, where the people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities. During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins. But the darker side of "Samhain" is yet to be told. On that night, the Druids would go from castle to castle, serf to serf and bring with them their "Trick or Treat". The "Treat" demanded by these Druids would be a virgin woman to serve as a HUMAN SACRIFICE. If the offering pleased the Druids, they would leave a Jack O' Lantern with lighted candles made from human fat to protect those inside from being killed by demons that night.

If an unfortunate family could not meet the demands of the Druids, then... It would be time for the "Trick". A huge Hexagram would be painted on the front door with human blood. That night, Satan and his demons would KILL someone in that house through fear.

Look at the contrast of this... In the book of Exodus, when God's people were in slavery, God ordered that the Israelites kill a lamb and sprinkle its blood on the doors and doorposts for their protection. So that when the Angel of Death will see the blood, He will "Passover" that house. See how Satan is in a way "copying" yet "perverting" God's ways? Don't let the Devil fool you into thinking "Halloween is Cool". In the Spiritual Realm, the demons that controlled Samhain before are still the demons that control Halloween now.

Now, I ask you again, Is it still a "Happy Halloween"?
